Big Love

By: Charles Mee

Show Description:
"Big Love" puts a unique, modern twist to the Greek play "The Suppliants" by Aeschylus when fifty brides (represented by 3) flee to a manor in Italy to avoid marrying their fifty cousins. After being ambushed by the grooms via helicopter, a murder plot is hatched by hard core feminist older sister, Thyona. While the brides and grooms wait for their wedding day, the characters raise issues of gender politics, love and domestic violence. A surrealistic journey of song, dance, and movement, "Big Love" inevitably shows us that love trumps all.
