By: Tennessee Williams

Show Description:
One hot, oppressive day in August.  1940, just before WWII.  In a run down tourist hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.  The Rev. T. Lawrence Shannon arrives seeking solace and forgiveness.  Wrestling with his all too human appetites.  Desperate that he has betrayed his faith and destroyed his belief in a merciful God. By chance, he meets a woman of angelic empathy, her 90 year old poet-grandfather and the lusty widow-owner of the hotel.  Together they embrace each other's spirit and find a new rationalization for living.  A beautiful, funny, heartbreaking play by America's premiere playwright, Tennessee Williams
