Eugene O'Neill's acclaimed portrayal of his family, Long Day's Journey Into Night dramatizes the impacts of addiction and illness, experiences achingly familiar to many facing the opioid epidemic. Considered the great American drama of the 20th century by many critics, Long Day's Journey Into Night won the Pulitzer Prize in 1957 and continues to receive acclaim.
