Hudson Players Community Theatre Music by Stephen Flaherty Based on “The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo" by: Michael Butterworth Show Description: Lucky Stiff is a zany, off beat, and very funny murder mystery farce complete with slamming doors, mistaken identities, missing money and of course a corpse in a wheelchair. The story revolves around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently murdered Atlantic City uncle on vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing his uncle off as alive and showing him the required sites he stands to inherit $6,000,000. Of course if he doesn’t the money goes to the dogs…literally.
