Book by John-Micheal Tebelak
Music & New Lyrics by Stephen Schwartz
A group of people help Jesus Christ tell different parables by using a wide variety of games, storytelling techniques and hefty doses of comic timing. An eclectic blend of songs, ranging in style from pop to vaudeville, is employed as the story of Jesus’ life dances across the stage. Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance, and love come vibrantly to life.

In accordance with the most recent guidance from the CDC, masking is optional in the Ashtabula Arts Center when the CDC rates our community risk level at low or medium. In the event the CDC raises our community risk level to high, we will immediately reinstate required masking in the building. Seating in the theater will no longer be socially distanced. Masking is still strongly recommended while in the theater and we expect all students and patrons to abide by isolation and quarantine guidelines based on current CDC guidelines. We require students and patrons with active cold symptoms to stay home until symptoms resolve and test before returning to activities.
