Written in 1979, first produced in 1982, this play was set, and produced in Pittsburgh, PA. When Playwright Wilson took his mother to see that production they arrived by jitney. This Drama Desk Award Winner in 2000, and Tony Award Winner for Best Revival of a Play in 2017, reveals the story of generations of jitney drivers and how they impacted their communities.
