Book, Music and Lyrics by: Willy Russell
Blood Brothers is a musical by Willy Russell about twin brothers, Mickey and Edward, separated at birth and raised in different social classes in Liverpool, who become best friends without knowing their connection until a tragic, prophesied end. The story explores themes of nature vs. nurture, class inequality, and fate, following the twins' contrasting lives—one wealthy and educated, the other struggling—and their shared love for the same girl, Linda, leading to a fatal confrontation. It's a long-running, award-winning show that began as a school play and became a major West End and Broadway hit.
