Set in a Beverly Hills Jewish household in 1984, this compelling drama plunges a family into an emotionally charged weekend when their patriarch attends a community meeting in which members of The Jewish Defense League are requesting an opportunity to speak at their B’nai Brith lodge, where they plan to encourage its members to stage a protest at a Nazi rally that is about to occur in their area.
With both humor and emotion, LONG AFTER CRYSTAL NIGHT challenges its characters to question the depth of their convictions and their personal courage in the face of difficult truths. This thought-provoking play is a timely and timeless exploration of identity, belonging, and the enduring human spirit.
