Clague Playhouse invites you to be a part of the City of Westlake’s celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Enjoy a weekend filled with live historical performances from: Women in History, Red Barn Youth Theater, and Seat of the Pants Productions. This family friendly event is FREE and open to the public! Activities and events planned for the entire 3-day weekend include: Theater Tours & Open House, Summer Jewelry Heist, Live Theater Shows, Kids Crafts & Activities, Food Trucks & Treats.
Friday, July 3rd
1pm - First Ladies Tea
Featuring performers with the nonprofit group Women in History portraying Julia Dent Grant, Ida Saxton McKinley and Eleanor Roosevelt as they gather for an intimate, unscripted conversation about life in the White House and the conditions during the time each First Lady lived.
3pm - An Evening with Jack Miner
Featuring an actor exploring the life of Jack Miner, a conservationist born in Westlake, who worked on migratory bird conservation.
5pm - Here Comes Stagecoach Mary!
This performance tells the story of the first Black female mail carrier. She carried a rifle and guarded the mail on a stagecoach.
Saturday, July 4th
1pm - My Name is Sacagawea
Featuring an actress portraying a Lemhi Shoshone woman who, while carrying her son, helped lead Lewis and Clark through unknown lands.
3pm - First Ladies Tea

1pm - Red Barn Youth Theater (Preview)
Two short plays from the youth theatre program including 13 Colonies Game Show and We, the People!
3pm - My Name is Sacagawea
Featuring an actress portraying a Lemhi Shoshone woman who, while carrying her son, helped lead Lewis and Clark through unknown lands.
7pm - 12 Angry Jurors
This play explores what happens in a jury room as the participants deal with their consciences and prejudices, rounds out the weekend. It is a staged reading by Seat of the Pants.
