The Care Drain
Deni works as a nanny for children in the U.S. in order to send money to her own children back in Mexico, who she grows distant from. Deni represents a phenomenon under modern capitalism in which women from the Global South must migrate to imperialist countries to labor as care workers, draining the care from their own homes.

VACCINATION PROTOCOLS
As we approach a lower rate of COVID-19 transmission in Cuyahoga County per the CDC, vaccinations are strongly recommended but not required for patrons at CPT effective March 1st, 2022.
STAY HOME IF ILL
Ticket holders who have been exposed to COVID-19 and/or are experiencing symptoms are asked to remain at home and contact the box office to discuss flexible options for their tickets.
MASKS PROTOCOLS
Effective November 22, 2022, masks are optional, but recommended for patrons, staff, and volunteers in all public areas of CPT.
We realize that all people are unique and have different levels of comfort while attending live performances; thus, we are offering patrons the option of attending one of our Covid-Conscious performances on Thursdays for Test Flight and Danceworks; and Sundays for mainstage performances. The events/shows where these performances are offered will be indicated on each event’s page. Patrons will be required to wear masks for the duration of these events. Per the CDC, the masks that offer the best protection against Covid-19 are N95, K95 or surgical. Masks will be available upon request at the box office.

CPT has added ionization to our HVAC system, which is known to reduce risk from COVID-19.

CLEAN HANDS
We have hand sanitizer available and encourage guests to wash their hands frequently.
Works in this production include references to homophobia, grief, and trauma; depictions of natural disaster and political neglect; discussions of violence and systemic injustice; and harsh language. Some pieces address experiences of survivors and healing from harm.
