The play follows a middle class African-American family as they prepare for a birthday dinner for their grandmother only to be watched by four white people.
At the Frasier household, preparations for Grandma's birthday party are underway. Beverly is holding on to her sanity by a thread to make sure this party is perfect, but her sister can't be bothered to help, her husband doesn't seem to listen, her brother is MIA, her daughter is a teenager, and maybe nothing is what it seems in the first place…! FAIRVIEW is a searing examination of families, drama, family dramas, and the insidiousness of white supremacy. Winner of the 2019 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

MASKS
Audience members may choose whether to wear a mask at Playhouse Square, although there may be exceptions required by certain artists or productions. Guests who are unvaccinated are asked to wear a mask. We ask that all audience members be respectful of one another's choices. Guests exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 or who have tested positive within the last 14 days must stay home.
CASHLESS TRANSACTIONS
All transactions inside the theaters will be cashless. All food and beverage purchases must be made with a valid debit or credit card, or with mobile wallet options such as Apple Pay or Google Pay. Cash accepted at all merchandise and souvenir locations.
AIR QUALITY
Playhouse Square has the latest HVAC technology, including air handlers equipped with MERV 13 rated filters, which are known to trap COVID-19 particles. As an additional measure, GPS brand bi-polar ionization, which is known to reduce risk from COVID-19, has been installed in our HVAC system. The theaters will be prepared by running portable HEPA filter units for three hours prior to each performance.

All engagements will be ticketed up to full capacity.

We are following enhanced cleaning and strict disinfection protocols.
