For the eleventh year, convergence-continuum continues its successful collaboration with the Northeast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA) in Creative Writing Program. The Festival runs two weekends, Thursday-Saturday at 8 pm, with different plays each weekend.
Week One:
Home Movie by Eric Mansfield
Four adult children laugh hysterically when they find an old home movie with their parents’ names on it, but what they first thought would be an embarrassing bedroom moment captured between their younger parents is instead a shocking revelation leaving each of them with a choice that could destroy their family forever.
We Call it Family by Laura Barbieri
This interview project examines the joys and pitfalls of adoption and foster parenting.
Week Two:
Scenes From a Night’s Dream by David Hansen
A young person troubled by manic dreams and sexual anxieties struggles to understand what is real, and even later as a successful adult is haunted by his childhood mistakes. The dream world creeps into the waking.
