Health and Safety Guidelines
MASKS
All patrons, staff, and volunteers are encouraged to wear facial masks that cover their mouth and nose, and remain masked at all times while inside the facility. Surgical masks will be available free of charge at the Box Office.
Masks are required at designated “Covid-Conscious” performances, generally the second and third Sundays matinee performance (see performance calendars for dates)
*It is recommended that surgical, KN95, or N95 masks be worn. Complimentary surgical masks will be provided and patrons are invited to make use of them. Surgical masks can also be worn underneath cloth masks for extra protection.
PROOF OF VACCINATION
Beginning April 22, 2022 audience members are not required to show proof of vaccination
STAY HOME IF YOU FEEL SICK
Ticket holders who have been exposed to COVID-19 and/or are experiencing symptoms are asked to remain at home and contact Dobama Theatre to discuss flexible options for their tickets.
CONCESSIONS
Concessions will be sold at all performances. We recommend that audience members remain masked when not actively drinking or eating. We also recommend the use of credit cards for payment for touchless checkout.
DIGITAL PROGRAMS
All programs will be digital. Dobama will provide a link via email and the website to download the program prior to coming to a performance. There will also be signs with a QR code to connect patrons to the program if they wish to read it while waiting for the performance to begin. This is both an extra precaution and an effort to further our commitment to sustainability in the protection of our environment.
SEATING
All performances will be ticketed up to full capacity. Limited social distancing options may be available. Contact the Box Office for details.
TICKETS
Tickets will be scanned by ushers for a no-touch experience. Will Call tickets will come in an envelope and tickets purchased the day of the event will be handled by Box Office staff wearing gloves.
AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT
In person audience engagement programming is suspended until further notice. This helps limit the amount of time audience and artists are gathered together in an indoor space. Check in with Dobama’s social media pages, email marketing, and website for new audience engagement content this season.
HVAC
The HVAC system in the facility will have Ventilation Verification as required by Actors’ Equity. This is a physical assessment of the existing Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) infrastructure at theatrical venues and establishes an HVAC system’s baseline for adequate ventilation. The air handling system has been fitted with an ionizer that produces positive and negative ions that neutralize harmful pollutants and inactivates airborne contaminants such as viruses, bacteria, fungi and mold spores.
ENHANCED CLEANING
We are following enhanced cleaning and strict disinfection protocols.
CLEAN HANDS
We have hand sanitizer available around the theatre facility and encourage guests to wash their hands frequently.
WHEN YOU COME TO THE THEATRE
Members and ticket holders for performances at Dobama will receive more detailed information regarding the simple process of picking up tickets, having tickets scanned, showing proof of vaccination, and entering the theatre prior to the opening night of the season.
ARTISTS AND STAFF
All Dobama Theatre artists and staff have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19. They follow strict guidelines throughout the rehearsal and performance periods including daily temperature checks, social distancing, masking, the use of a portable HEPA filter air purifier, and various other precautions. Cast and crew are tested for COVID three times per week and remain socially distanced and masked with N95 masks when not onstage.
Once again, thank you for your understanding and cooperation in protecting the well-being of our neighbors and for taking care of each other.
DOBAMA THEATRE CONTINUES TO WITH ACTORS’ EQUITY ASSOCIATION, HEALTH ORGANIZATIONS, AND OTHER PARTNERS IN TAKING STEPS TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY SAFE. WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU BACK.
