By: Broadway Sessions
You may have heard of infamous Broadway “flops,” meaning a show that did poorly once it opened on the Great White Way. Perhaps you’ve heard of “Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark,” or “Carrie,” but there are even more that are considered flops. This Broadway session dives deep into shows and why they became flops, beyond poor critiques or budget issues, some shows were forced out of their theaters, before their time, or simply couldn’t reach a commercial audience. Created and directed by Joanna Cullinan, this Broadway Session will explore those beloved “flops” and give them a chance to shine.
