Book, Music, and Lyrics by Mark Schoenfeld and Barri McPherson

February 2 - February 18, 2024

Show Description:

BKLYN the Musical is a play within a play. It begins with a group of street singers, busking underneath Brooklyn Bridge. The singers decide to put on a play, led and narrated by the lead ‘Street Singer’. And this is the story they tell….It's a tale about a young Parisian singer who travels to America in search of the father she never knew. Her arrival has agitated the reigning diva of New York, Paradice, who challenges Brooklyn to a “Battle of the Divas” at Madison Square Gardens. This tale explores the dark side of fame, the flip side of the "American Dream", and PTSD. When life challenges us and the journey isn't what we expected, you gotta ask yourself, "Do you believe in happy endings?"
