Show Description:

Cinderella’s story is more than one of magic and a prince and a ball—it’s one of friendship and kindness and trusting one’s self. In this timeless musical, her story is told by the talents of iconic duo Rodgers & Hammerstein, in their signature style that offers moments of candid and charming hilarity. The floating musical score and enchanting book illuminate a tale that needs no other reason to come to our main stage. Delight your senses with the familiar hits “A Lovely Night,” “Ten Minutes Ago,” and “Impossible” as you relish in the vibrant, elegant, heartfelt production before you. Amongst the many iconic versions of Cinderella include: Julie Andrews’, Whitney Houston’s, and now, Near West Theatre’s!

Health and Safety Guidelines

Community safety is the absolute first priority at Near West Theatre. We have adopted the following COVID-19 safety protocol for all indoor productions as of October 13, 2021.

PROCEDURES

Tickets are emailed to patrons to limit the buildup of traffic in our entryway. Tickets can be presented on a cellphone from a confirmation email or they can be printed at home. For patrons that cannot access either of these options, we will be able to look up your tickets at the Box Office.

Please have your tickets ready and on-hand when arriving at the doors of the theatre. Patrons should arrive with their whole group, ready to be seated.

All audience members will have a temperature screening prior to entering the building.

There is a 10-minute intermission for the audience to use the restrooms and head outside to our patio for fresh air.

There will be no concessions operations during performance runs. Near West Theatre will communicate updates via text messaging and emails. Please be sure to add info@nearwesttheatre.org to your email contacts to make sure you do not miss any important announcements.

MASKING

All individuals are required to wear masks, properly covering their mouth and nose at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Cloth, surgical, and KN95 masks are all accepted. Masks with exhalation valves, bandanas, scarves, and gaiters are not permitted. Surgical masks are available free of charge at the box office.

IF YOU'RE VACCINATED

You are required to provide proof of vaccination with a COVID-19 vaccination card, paper or digital.

The vaccination card must show that 14 days have passed since either the second shot of a CDC or WHO-approved two-shot vaccine or since the administration of a CDC or WHO-approved one-shot vaccine.

IF YOU'RE UNVACCINATED:

Guests ages 12+ are required to provide proof of a negative test result from a PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours prior to entering Near West Theatre, or a negative antigen COVID-19 test result taken within six hours prior to entering our building.
