In this performance series, NWT hands the mic to alumni and local artists for intimate showcases of music, dance, spoken word, and poetry.
Molly will be highlighting the work of Renee Jones Empowerment Center during her performance for the work they do in establishing restorative services for survivors of human trafficking and sexual assault.
This performance is intended for audiences ages 13 and older.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Molly Andrews-Hinders is a performance artist, songwriter, creator, and educator. She has performed in multiple venues – both theatrical and musical – throughout Northeast Ohio and beyond. Notable projects include Emergence (featured at Prop Thtr's Rhinofest and Cleveland Public Theatre's Test Flight Series), ENDependence (partnership with Cleveland Public Theatre and MetroHealth) and Building the Plane as We’re Flying (in development as part of the Midwives Artist Collective). She is thrilled to be returning to Near West Theatre, the place where she grew up, a place that shaped her greatly as a person in community. She is deeply grateful to Trinidad and the NWT team for the invitation to present with Voices of the Community!
