By: Tony Kushner
A Bright Room Called Day is Tony Kushner’s first play, and traces the fall of the Weimar republic and the rise of Nazi Fascism. Set in 1930s Berlin, we glimpse vignettes of the daily lives of a friend group of artists, activists, poets, communists, and bohemians. Kushner’s play asks us what, if anything, we would do to resist an authoritarian government. What will YOU do?
